At Curtis Law Solicitors we are one of the top law firms based in the North West of England and employ around 150 lawyers and support staff in offices in Blackburn and South Manchester.

A number of our solicitors and departments are recognised leaders in their field and as a company we understand that our continued success depends on our employees. This is why we prioritise the recruitment and retention of the most skilled and sociable staff from the legal, accounting, and marketing sectors and this is why we champion personal development within the firm.

For these reasons we like to think of our company environment as challenging, rewarding and unique in comparison to other legal service providers.

We have LEXCEL accreditation and are an equal opportunities employer.

Training and Development

We’re fully committed to the training and development of all employees and has demonstrated this by the consistent adherence to the Investors in People standards. We recognise this as vital in order to stay ahead and at the forefront of the legal sector. Training and development issues are discussed regularly between managers and staff on an informal basis, but also more formally at the annual appraisal.

Progression is a key part of our values and we have numerous success stories which can demonstrate this commitment to internal development. There are several examples of solicitors and legal executives who started out as clerical assistants and countless other examples of staff developing their careers to the highest level. Coaching and support plays a big part in this process and the firm is constantly reviewing the most effective ways of delivering training and assisting career development.
