Curtis Law supporting Action For Children charity.

08 September 2017

At Curtis Law Solicitors our staff and managers are always keen to get involved in charitable events, whether that is supporting the local community or raising money for charities and good causes.

We are currently raising money for a great charity; Action For Children.

Iain Blundell, one of our Solicitors specialising in Landlord and Tenant and Debt Recovery matters, is taking part in a daunting Three Peaks challenge this Saturday, 9th September 2017. This involves scaling the 3 peaks of Yorkshire in one gruelling, long – and probably wet according to the forecasts! – day.

Iain is taking part in this challenge with two family members but has the support of the Firm and his colleagues in wishing him well and donating to this great cause.

“I have taken part in a charity trek like this once before, but that was 5 years ago and was on a beautiful sunny summers day. I think this occasion is likely to be slightly different given the weather recently, and given that my training has been limited by childcare commitments over the school summer holidays. However, I am delighted to be supporting this cause and am sure that the day will be a successful one. I am aware of the fantastic work done by this Charity, not least from my prior experience in Family Law, and am pleased to be able to support them in this way.”

The Firm is also taking part in another charity event this month, entering a team in the annual Hays Recruitment Charity Quiz which raises funds for the Pendleside Hospice as well as Action For Children. The quiz takes place on 26th September 2017 in Burnley and a team made up of colleagues from across the Firm are hopeful of a good result!
